When I saw you

My arms wouldn't move
My feet were stoned to the ground
My eyes would not blink
My ears muffled every sound
My lips could not utter a single word

Time seemed to pause

My brain was running through every possible thing to say
But it was as if my nerves wouldn't transmit
My lips shape as if to utter
But no sound ensues

Time seemed to pause

There was chaos all around me
People pushing
People screaming
But I didn't notice
In my line of sight
There was only you and me

If only time could have stopped there
With you being the last person I see
The last person I heard
The last person I felt existed
I would not have any regrets

I don't think I have any now
Nor will I have any in the future
Because it was one moment
When you saw me...
and I saw you..
For that little moment..
You knew I existed
While I knew it all along
